October results
I’m back from the UK. I left on Wednesday the 16th and returned Friday November 1st near midnight. I spent yesterday recovering, unpacking, cleaning house, and other chores to get myself back to the real world. In all, I took a few thousand photos while in the UK and will need a few weeks to sort and edit. A few photos have been edited for my 2025 friends and family calendar, but they won’t be shared here until after the calendars are delivered.
I use Mpix for the calendars. I like the thick card stock they’re printed on, folks can use the calendar and write on it. And even though they’re more expensive than other sources, I know what I am getting for my money. The final batch was ordered today because Mpix had a sale ending today, 30% off. Glad to get them ordered this far away from Christmas. I am usually struggling with photo selections, re-editing and cropping deep into November. Check!
While I was away the local club held their October competition with the theme being open. I submitted what I thought were 4 nice entries, even if I felt a bit rushed getting them selected, edited, etc. The results weren’t shocking, one honorable mention for the black and white boathouse photo. Last year, the same judge didn’t select a single photo I entered. Anyway, here are the 4 entries.
