New Gear

So, whenever I say I am not going to buy any new gear, or I need to trim down what I already have, I am lying. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let me tell you what I got. Since I have been wanting to get into macro photography, I picked up a brand new Canon RF f2.8 100mm to do just that. It arrived last week after a bit of a snafu with FedEx, however I have not been able to dedicate much if any time to getting it out. I did try a few closeup images of plants in the backyard, nothing came of those attempts because it’s a bit more difficult than I had imagined. I did snap a photo of a bird in a tree, not a macro shot, but it’s all I have. I am sure there will be lots more later, here’s the bird pic.
