Kauai, yet again

Kauai. The Garden Isle, the 4th largest of the Hawaiian Islands. Full of dramatic and beautiful sites. Yes, you are so beautiful, but you frustrate me to no end.

My opinion of the island changes with each passing day. Mostly it's just me being grumpy about having to travel there for work. I have been there close to 10 times now, and the flight there and back is rough. I never seem to recover from it easily, even when I was younger. And while I love the people, the culture, the food, and all that beauty, I do not miss the incessant rain, the chickens, and the mosquitoes. Yet, I keep signing up for it! Indulge my 1st world griping because there are worse things in this world than the island of Kauai. It is gorgeous.

This time on the island, I had my camera bag fully packed with all sorts of new gear, with a new tripod in hand as well as a shiny new small and light laptop. However, my work schedule, and the weather didn't play fair, which meant my usual amount of camera time was limited. On one off day, it rained from 7am til 5pm, and on another day off, the skies never turned blue, instead a shade of grey made for napping. Waimea Canyon was socked in several days as well, Kalalau Lookout was the three times I drove up there too. With that said, I will see you soon Kauai. Here are a few favorites from my limited camera time.
