Another contest

I’m not sure if would be considered a contest, but Trinity United Methodist Church in South Huntsville has a “God Sightings” theme coming up. The theme is “Where do you see God?” They’re asking for submissions from the local photographic club and their congregation, and of the entries, 12 photos will be selected to be displayed at the church for several months. I submitted three photos along with a brief description of each and why it was selected. Here are my entries.

Mount Fitz Roy outside of El Chalten, Argentina taken April 2019. When the clouds break, and the sun finds the peaks, it's a breathtaking and awe inspiring sight. To pause and reflect is an absolute must in its presence. On this morning, the alpenglow was remarkable.

Bradford Creek Greenway in Madison, AL taken May 2021. Each spring, the spring flowers take over this pasture providing a beautiful complement to the majestic horses. And when the light hits them both at the same time, it's a marvelous spectacle.

A yellow Hawaiian Hibiscus flower in Poipu, Kauai taken August 2022. The official state flower of Hawaii. They're only found on the Hawaiian islands, and rare to find in the wild. Drawing the eye with its staggering magnificence. This flower was photographed after a summer rain shower, which accentuated its great beauty.
