Trash Pandas Game

Before my trip to Alaska, I decided to upgrade my Canon EOS R to the R5. Along with that, I bought my 1st RF lens, the 35mm f1.18 with Image Stabilization. I decided to test them both at my local minor league baseball stadium, Toyota Field in Madison, Alabama. The home of the Rocket City Trash Pandas. I worried that a prime lens wouldn’t be enough reach to capture anything good, but remembered from a previous game the bullpens were a good area to test the new setup. After seeing a few other photographers there with larger zoom lens, next time I’ll show up with my 70-200 f4 lens. One setup error, I forgot to shoot in RAW mode, so, everything seen here was shot as high quality jpg with minimal editing done in Lightroom. Overall, I love the setup. The images are fantastic, even when heavily cropped. It will do great in Alaska. Without any further delay, here are my photos from the May 4th game, a 13-4 loss, against the Chattanooga Lookouts.
