First time in Alaska

In short, Alaska was incredible! I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but loved every part of it. Anchorage was decidedly modern, and I loved how walkable and photogenic its downtown proved to be. We arrived relatively late on a Thursday and left for Denali National Park Sunday morning, so we had plenty of time to explore. Most all of my photos from Anchorage are of the urban variety, which is becoming a favorite discipline lately.

I've been back for almost a month, and all of the photos I took have been processed. While this wasn't a true photography based trip, I took a ton of photos, probably 3500 in all. Of those, I was happy with over 200. Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing my favorites from the trip as well as a collection of photos from Barber Motorsports Museum near Birmingham, Alabama. As for now, here are several I loved from walking around downtown Anchorage. Which one is your favorite?
