Rookie Mistake
I've all but decided I need a photography project, something long term. And I think the subject of the project will be the Saturn V rocket, the replica standing outside the building that can be seen all over Madison and Huntsville, as well as the actual Saturn V inside the Davidson Center. Over the years, I have photographed the outside rocket from the parking lot, outside the Space and Rocket Center, and on the overpass across I-565 (the classic shot). What I want is a project featuring the rockets from various locations, even when it isn't the main subject.
To start with that, I decided to visit the Space and Rocket Center for a bit of photo scouting. I got there later than I had intended and ended up getting caught up in lots of visitors. It wasn't as quiet and peaceful as I would have liked it, but not bad at all. That said, once inside the building, I pulled out my Canon R5 with my favorite lens, the RF 14-35, to take a few photos only to discover I left my SD card in my computer at home. So, I was left to take my scouting photos with my iPhone.
I'll be back with my camera soon, until then, here are a few scouting photos I liked.
