May Results

Last night, I attended the local photography club’s monthly competition for May, themed Alabama the Beautiful. Overall, not a bad night, I would have liked to have done better, but I walked away with an honorable mention in color and in black and white. The judge is a local photography professor and hearing his judging notes was nice to hear. All 4 of my images received praise, which left me feeling a lot better about the next few competitions.

Oddly enough, the judge claimed to have struggled with the theme and what it entailed. He mentioned the rocket and waterfalls as not his thing, but he liked my 2 rocket photos well enough to select them both, and there were a few waterfall photos in the mix too. Anyway, here are my two honorable mentions.
