June Results
I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but none of my submitted photos for Lines\Patterns\Angles were selected this week. Disappointed yet again, and it’s mostly in the judge’s notes. I read the theme as one or more of those items was okay to be submitted. The judge came out and said all 3, until she selected items without all 3. Anyway, there was another photo of an elephant in the monochrome category, similar to mine, but she liked it better. My photo of the organ pipes, got a “Is that organ pipes?.
And then on to color, my waterfall photo with the swirly leaf patterns at the base, received a “it’s pretty” but nothing else. The photo I thought that had a real chance, the photo of the winding road with the deer on the road, got the response of “the deer are the primary focus in the photo, and that means it’s not about lines\patterns\angles. Another learning experience in the books. Next month’s theme is open, I do wonder if any of these photos will be re-used in future competitions. I’d say at least two will.
