Competition results

The results are in for the local photography club's themed competition and there was no glory to be had for me. Not one of my 4 entries placed. I could sit here and incessantly ramble on about the competition, but the fact is my photos did not appeal to the judge's criteria for our theme, "Looking Up/Looking Down". Plain and simple.

In my eyes, the theme could mean either or, up or down, or both. That’s what the / was in the description we were given. Some of the entered photos included both, some included none. Some placed without meeting any of the criteria. And some placed while being extremely soft, out of focus, or with distracting elements in the frame. Anyway, next month is Sunrise/Sunset so I am hoping both do not need to be in the frame because that's impossible. I have lots of photos to choose from and I will start the evaluation process this week.
