Change of Plans

The plan on Saturday was to visit the Southern Museum of Flight in Birmingham, Alabama. I checked the website, hours are 9 to 4 Tuesday to Saturday. Drove down Saturday morning, 90 minutes in all, traffic was horrendous. And when I arrived, not a single vehicle in the parking lot. The museum was closed in observance of Independence Day. Ouch.

I was determined to have a day of it anyway. Avondale area for lunch, Post Office Pies' Chicken Pesto pizza did not disappoint. And then on the way home, I found a church to photograph. Well, let me take that back, I found a door to photograph at Avondale United Methodist Church. Then a slow cruise through some far away places before stopping in Decatur to photograph a mural. Then home, here are the two photos I took!
