Backyard Birds
I am working part of this week to conserve some of my PTO. Now that I’ve wrapped up for the week, I really should have taken the entire week off. I need a break and fear 3 days isn’t going to cut it. Anyway, yesterday after I finished working for the day, I went to the backyard with my R7 and 400mm f5.6 lens on my Leofoto tripod and Sirui Gimbal to photograph birds.
Since it has gotten colder, there have been at least 20 birds around the bird feeders at any given time. I’m filling each bird feeder daily, and they absolutely wipe out the seeds by sundown each night. What made yesterday even better was the pre sunset light. It was glorious. Not to mention about 10 different types of birds. I snapped off 750 pics in about 20 minutes. It got cold, and I wasn’t really dressed for sitting in the shade on my patio in winter so I cut the session short. Here are the best photos from the day!
