April Competition
The local photography club’s competition for April is set for next Monday. The theme is Architecture, which is a theme I have hardly if ever focused on. Don’t get me wrong, I have a few photos that will work, but none were stellar. Honestly, not sure if stellar is what it takes to get it done with these competitions. I’ve become increasingly disillusioned with them and feel as if I am just looking for another excuse to save my self the heartache, and headache mainly of submitting photos.
That said, about 6 weeks ago, I started watching videos on architecture and how to process the photos. That lead to finding a few new favorite photographers who do mainly fine art photos of buildings. But I didn’t have a subject. That all changed a few weeks ago when I found a boring office building in Research Park, but found it had some great lines. I grabbed the photo Sunday morning and spent close to 2 hours processing. This is my 1st attempt at a fine art architectural photo. Following are 3 other photos I submitted.
