90 Days

It’s been more than 90 days since I have been out with my camera and I’m not happy about it. I returned from Scotland in early October to a family emergency which involved major surgery, and 24/7 care for a month to 6 weeks. Thankfully I have siblings who helped with this. This was on top of a busier than usual end of the year at work. Once I opened my eyes and caught my breath, it was early December which then lead to all sorts of end of the year meet-ups, dinners, drinks, all that with friends and co-workers. By the time Christmas rolled around, I was wiped out. Mentally and physically. So much so, I took off from work the week after Christmas to recover.

The 90 day slump is the longest I can remember since I got serious about my photography 10 or 11 years ago. The main reason for this is because I just haven’t made it a priority. I’ve let so many things come between the one thing that brings me peace. That changes tomorrow, I am planning to get out before sunrise with my camera and hit a local hiking trail for some creek and waterfall pics. And if I don’t get too muddy and messy, I may head straight to the Space and Rocket Center to photograph the museum.

Enough moaning for now, hope to have some new photos to share very soon!
