2022 in review

This year has been particularly good for my photography. I've had trips to New Mexico, Alaska, Kauai, and Wisconsin to go along with several outings around my hometown of Huntsville, Alabama. I got out with my camera often, and spent even more time working on my Lightroom and Photoshop editing skills. And it paid off. I had the following photos make Flickr's Explore, totaling over 20k views and close to 700 favorites in all. Anderson Dock, Ellison Bay Sunset, and a door at Ave Maria Grotto.

Recently I have been submitting photos to Weekly and Monthly Assignments on the photography website, Fred Miranda. A few months back, I finished 3rd in a monthly assignment titled Street Lights with my photo of the US Space and Rocket Center at sunset. And I have had a few entries in weekly assignments that did well, but did not win. My first win was for a monthly assignment titled Waiting with my photo of deer waiting to cross the Jens Jensen Curvy Road in Door County, Wisconsin. To see my photo and the competition, go here.

In all, I am really pleased with how my photography grew in 2022, and I am especially excited about 2023. More to come about that in another post!
